The Mountain Vista Golf Club is a 9 hole public course located in Waratah. Open all year round, the clubs signature hole is the par 5 579m 5th which is one of the longest holes in the southern hemisphere. The par of the course is 35 (2627m). A set of golf clubs is available to use at no charge for all in-house guests of the Bischoff Hotel.

- WARATAH COURTHOUSE MUSEUM -
The Waratah Museum is located in the historic former Courthouse building and houses an eclectic display of local historical artefacts, photos and personal stories. A replica of 'Philosopher' Smith's Hut sits next to the Museum, demonstrating the conditions of miners during those early days.
